About Wildscar

Wildscar is a multiplayer survival world with gathering, base building and player combat. Start with the resources around you, establish a place to return to and decide how much risk to take when exploring. Bases need upkeep, other players can raid, and the shared survival world follows a monthly wipe cycle. Your personal Realm provides a separate persistent building world.

Controls

• Use the movement and look controls shown by the game client to explore the world.
• Equip a gathering tool, approach a tree or resource node and use the attack or harvest control.
• Use the inventory, crafting and building interfaces to manage supplies and place structures.
• Interact with a Tool Cupboard, sleeping bag or portal using the interaction prompt shown in the game.

How to play

1. Gather wood, stone and ore, while keeping track of food, water and the space available in your inventory.
2. Build a base and place a Tool Cupboard. Authorize yourself and keep the required upkeep materials in its storage.
3. Place a sleeping bag so you have a named respawn destination if you die.
4. Explore for loot and resources. Wildlife, NPC guards, other players and base raids make preparation matter.
5. When you choose to bring supplies into your personal Realm, carry them through a portal. Portals also connect to the Community Realm, where players can gather and build together.

Progression

Wildscar uses your Pi-linked PortalPi account. Global PortalPi XP determines your account level, which affects the server-calculated farming rate. Wildscar resets monthly, while your personal Realm persists. Moving resources into Realm is a player choice; playing another PortalPi game does not automatically mean its resources are connected to Realm.

Playing tips

• Check Tool Cupboard upkeep before leaving a base unattended; building a wall is only the start of maintaining it.
• Place a sleeping bag early and learn its destination before taking valuable supplies into a fight.
• Choose what to carry through a portal instead of assuming that everything in the seasonal world is preserved.
