About Matches Puzzle
Matches Puzzle uses matchsticks to make geometric shapes or correct arithmetic equations. The instruction for each level specifies whether to add, remove or move matches, and exactly how many moves to use. Shape levels can also require every remaining matchstick to belong to a valid square or triangle.
Controls
- Follow the displayed Add, Remove or Move instruction to manipulate the matchsticks.
- In Move levels, drag a matchstick to its new position on the puzzle grid.
- Open the objective checklist to see which conditions are already satisfied.
How to play
- Read the operation, allowed move count and target shape or equation before changing the board.
- Plan the resulting arrangement, including which matches will remain after your changes.
- Use the required number of moves to produce the target number of shapes or a correct equation.
- Check all objective indicators, including the requirement that matches belong to shapes where that rule is present.
Progression
PortalPi saves the unlocked and current level, level-pack progress and hint inventory for the connected account. The game reports session scores through the shared platform rather than treating each browser visit as a new player.
Playing tips
- Count larger shapes as well as the smallest ones; shared sides can affect the total.
- A correct-looking arrangement may still fail if you have not used the exact required move count.
- For equation levels, inspect the operators as well as the digits before deciding which match to change.
