About Merge Box 2048

Merge Box 2048 is a physics merge game. Numbered boxes drop into a container one at a time. When two boxes with the same number touch, they merge into a single box with double the value, and the merged value is added to your score. Merges can chain into bigger numbers. The run ends when the pile rises past the limit line at the top of the container.

Controls

• Slide your finger left or right to position the next box above the container.
• Lift your finger to drop the box.
• Use the in-game buttons to pause, open the coin shop or continue after a game over.

How to play

1. Look at the number on the next box and find a matching box in the pile.
2. Move the box above that spot and drop it so the two boxes touch.
3. Keep merging to build higher numbers and increase your score.
4. Keep the pile below the limit line; a box resting above it ends the run.

Progression

Your best score is saved, and when you play from PortalPi Games while signed in, your progress and score are stored with your account. After a game over you can spend in-game coins to clear the board and keep playing with your current score. In-game coins can also be bought with PortalPi coins.

Playing tips

• Keep large numbers together on one side so new boxes do not land between them.
• Drop small boxes where they can merge immediately instead of stacking them on top of big ones.
• A box that bounces can roll into a neighbour, so aim for a flat landing area.
• Watch the height of the pile; stop building towers near the limit line.
